ADA Anniversary Gives Local Agencies Cause For Celebration

A Celebration of the 23rd Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act proved that Syracuse residents have many “abilities.”


The road has not always been an easy one, as many described, but determination has helped them achieve their goals and dreams.  Agnes McCray was the keynote speaker.  She flashed back on her own life before the Act.

State Comptroller Wants the Term 'Same Sex Spouses' Added in Federal Benefits and Programs

The Defense of Marriage Act was recently overturned. Now, New York State’s Comptroller is calling for more transparency for equal federal benefits for Same Sex Spouses.  Tom Dinapoli is urging President Obama to change a provision in the federal Employee Retirement Income Security Act.

Renz Confirms He's Responsible for a Liverpool Librarian's Murder and Sexual Assault on a Young Girl

A Cicero man who stabbed a woman to death and sexually assaulted a young girl after kidnapping them at Great Northern Mall plead guilty in court Wednesday.


David Renz will face life in prison without the chance for parole. Onondaga County District Attorney Bill Fitzpatrick was grateful to all police agencies that investigated this horrific crime.

Bryant and Stratton Helps Students Get a Better Start

Bryant and Stratton’s “Employability Week” is giving Central New York students a look into the minds of employers and how they can improve their chances of being career-ready upon graduation.  The college’s Kristen Aust says many students are interested in…and are preparing to enter the field of medicine and allied health. 


She says  Syracuse has become a mainstay for several medical and health insurance companies.
