Carrier Dome en SU Basketball Opens Tonight vs. Cornell <p>Syracuse (0-0) basketball&nbsp;tips its season off against Cornell (0-0) in the Carrier Dome on Friday as the Orange attempts to follow-up a successful campaign.</p><p>Last year, SU advanced to the Final four and earned a record of 30-10, marking the first time in school history that the Orange won 30 or more games in back-to-back seasons.</p><p>The Orange return its top scorer and rebounder from last season in C.J. Fair. After three plays and just 38 seconds, the #3-ranked Tigers led Syracuse 7-0 and Heisman candidate Tajh Boyd was 3-3 with 82 yards and a touchdown.</p><p>&ldquo;When they scored fast, we were like &lsquo;Whoa.&rsquo;,&rdquo; said Syracuse cornerback Julian Whigham. &ldquo;They&rsquo;re as good as we thought they were.&rdquo;</p><p>Clemson (5-0, 3-0 ACC) continued to dominate Syracuse (2-3, 0-1 ACC) and won 49-14.
