'Cuse Football Heads to Atlanta

Syracuse (3-3, 1-1) hits the road again this weekend as the orange travels down to Atlanta to play Georgia Tech (3-3, 2-2). SU comes into the game fresh off its first ACC win and a road win against North Carolina State.

The Orange faces a Yellow Jackets team that ranks 6th in the nation in rushing yards led by the two-headed monster of senior running back, David Sims, and sophomore quarterback, Vad Lee. The two have combined for 635 yards on the year and the team as a whole has more than 1,700 yards on the ground.

Science Teaching Doesn't Have to be Dry as CNY Students Learn Through Music

ESM Middle School students dumped applesauce on a teacher's head, all in the name of science during the FMA Live (Force equals Mass times Acceleration) performance.

A program put together by NASA and Honeywell is trying to get middle and high school students in Central New York more interested in science.  Sixth graders at Pine Grove Middle School in Eastwood got the message Wednesday.

A Healthy Food Alternative for Syracuse's Southside Neighborhoods Opens

An old barn that was razed on South Salina Street on Syracuse’s Southside is now the address of the Eat to Live Food Cooperative.  The décor of the store is just as colorful as the produce on the shelves.  It's a dream come true for The Southside Community Coalition and Syracuse University's South Side Initiative Office.  Organizers feel it will make shopping for healthy foods more accessible in the neighborhood.  President Shirley Rowser says customers will also become more informed about their own food choices.

Two peace advocates who’ve made several trips to Afghanistan are in Syracuse to share their observations…and join protests against the use of military drones.  Kathy Kelly traveled with the group “Voices of Creative Nonviolence" and saw people struggling economically after four decades of war.

Syracuse Notches First ACC Win

The Orange (3-3) edged NC State (3-3) 24-10 Saturday, earning its first ACC victory in school history. Both offenses struggled to find any rhythm early on, but the SU rushing attack of Jerome Smith and Prince-Tyson Gulley turned it on to pull away from the Wolfpack in the 4th quarter. Smith led the team with 140 yards on the ground, while Gulley was right behind him with 132.
