Syracuse Doctor Supports Controlled Medical Marijuana Program

A Syracuse Doctor initially skeptical of Governor Cuomo's medical marijuana plan is now embracing what appears to be a closely monitored, research-based model.  

Doctor Jeffrey Sneider is an internist at Brighton Medical Associates, and represents a 10 county region for the Medical Society of New York.  Sneider says he's still learning the details, but so far likes the limited scope of the program.

Corporate Tax Cut, Property Tax Freeze Top Cuomo Economic Plan

  New York Residents and businesses could see reductions and rebates on taxes when Governor Andrew Cuomo forms his new budget proposal.  Monday he released details of a rumored $2 billion rebate for property taxpayers...though government leaders at the town, city and county level will have to play ball with Albany to get it for their residents.

Grants, Community Help Improve McMahon Ryan Child Center

  The McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Center in Syracuse starts 2014 with some positive changes in both its home and its programs.  The center benefited from 90-thousand dollars in grants from the Central New York Community Foundation as well as other gifts and fundraising.
