Follow This Design to Find Syracuse's Creekwalk

Logo selected for Onondaga Creekwalk

A logo has been selected through online voting to help joggers, bicyclists, walkers with strollers and others to the Onondaga Creekwalk.  The design was selected out of three that were put up on a website.  It will be put on dozens of signs the mark the path of the Creekwalk and directions to it.

The designs were all created by classes in Syracuse University's School of Visual and Performing Arts.  Voting took place between October 2nd and 9th.

Orange Battle NC State Saturday

Syracuse (2-3, 0-1) is still in search of its first ACC win after the orange was blown out by Clemson 49-14 in the Carrier Dome last Saturday. Now SU turns its attention towards an N.C State (3-2, 0-2) team who is also looking for its first conference win after to losing to Wake Forest 28-13.

The Wolfpack will host the orange in Raleigh at 3:30 on Saturday. Coach Shafer knows that it will be a hostile environment. "I coached at NC State in the late 90s, and it gets loud there. They have a great fan base,” said Shafer.

Next Four Neighborhood Meetings on I-81 Viaduct Scheduled

The State Department of Transportation has released the schedule of the next four neighborhoods meetings about the future of I-81 through Syracuse.  About 100 people turned out for the first one held two weeks ago in Toomey Abbott Towers, a stone’s throw from the highway.
