Veteran sports broadcaster Ian Eagle '90 was inducted into the WAER Hall of Fame on Friday August 16, 2013 at the Joseph I Lubin House in Manhattan, NY.
Eagle is most notably known as the lead play-by-play announcer for the Brooklyn Nets on the YES network for the past 18 seasons. His work on YES earned him a New York Emmy for play-by-play earlier this year. In addition to his Nets duties, Eagle also broadcasts NFL football, NCAA basketball and Tennis for CBS Sports.
Onondaga County lawmakers are holding off for now on funding any new “Save the Rain” projects. The Ways and Means Committee met today to discuss plans for $2 million worth of ‘installation and infiltration’ projects—or INI’s—to manage rainfall in suburban communities.
Legislator Casey Jordan says the projects sound promising, but he wants to know what it will cost the County to collect each gallon of rainwater.
