The uptempo offense that coach Dino Babers brought to Syracuse last season has brought a level of excitement to SU Football. But, Syracuse football hasn't always held that distinction. Back in the mid 1980s the football program took a big step forward largely because of the late Dick MacPherson.

WAER's Tim Scott takes us back in time to examine the success of the 1987 football team that ultimately ended up in the Sugar Bowl.
