Bryant and Stratton Helps Students Get a Better Start

Christian Bersani/WAER News

Bryant and Stratton’s “Employability Week” is giving Central New York students a look into the minds of employers and how they can improve their chances of being career-ready upon graduation.  The college’s Kristen Aust says many students are interested in…and are preparing to enter the field of medicine and allied health.

She says  Syracuse has become a mainstay for several medical and health insurance companies.

“We do work very hard at not only preparing our students with the technical skills from the allied health programs, but also those soft skills.  That’s the idea of the employability series, where our students are working at problem solving and showing initiative.   So not only do they have the technical laboratory type skills, but they also have those skills that elevate them to being a very high level employee at some of these organizations.”

Tuesday, the north campus will help students focus on resume building, interviews, and the importance of linked-in. More information on the week’s events is at bryantstratton.edu.
