Hot Rods, Classics, Muscle Cars Bring Thousands to Fairgrounds for Syracuse Nationals this Weekend

Thousands of cars, from hot rods to classics to muscle cars will be on display at the New York State Fairgrounds Friday through Sunday for the 2015 Syracuse Nationals.  Organizers expect 8000 cars and as many as 80,000 visitors.

Tourism officials told the Business Journal that last year's event boosted the local economy by $13 million.  Organizers call the Nationals the largest car show in the Northeast.

Of Course browsing through lines and lines of cars is the main attraction, but visitors can also see a car building competition, as well as other technical seminars.  There will once again be 'Artie's Party,' a pin-striping competition that raises money for local charities.

Numerous vendors will have car parts, accessories, cleaning and performance products.  There's a "Mini Nationals" where hundreds of model cars will be on display.  "Gasoline Alley" features vintage racing cars.

The Syracuse Nationals runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the New York State Fairgrounds.  The organizer's website: rightcoastcars.com has more details of events and times.
