The Sport Management Club at Syracuse University has been working all semester to prepare for their 10th Annual Charity Sports Auction this Saturday, December 6th. The students have been working countless hours, collecting donations, promoting the event, and preparing for this day.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central New York will be the beneficiary for their auction.
There are over 500 auction items ranging from sports memorabilia to gift cards to electronics, at this year's silent auction. The club hopes to raise at least $40,000, enough to fund four children's wishes.
The auction will be held in the backcourt of the Carrier Dome during the Syracuse vs. St. John's basketball game this upcoming Saturday. Doors open at 3:15pm at Gates A, B, C, and E. The game will begin at 5:15pm. A game ticket is necessary for access to the auction and can be purchased by phone (1-800-DOME-TIX), at the Carrier Dome Box Office, or online (cuse.com).
