During a celebration held on Saturday, August 23, 2014, Sean McDonough (SU '84) and Bill Roth (SU '87) were both inducted into the WAER Hall of Fame. The program highlighted each inductees contributions to the sports broadcasting industry and their connection and contributions to Syracuse University noncommercial radio station, WAER, where both served as student broadcasters in the sports department.

Matt Park (SU '97) hosted the program that featured special guests Mike Tirico (SU '87) Bill Raftery, Steve Grilli, and Paul Peck (SU '87). The event was attended by 80 Syracuse University alumni, students, staff and WAER supporters and was the culminating event of the 2014 WAER Sports reunion.
