More information has just been leaked about what’s coming up at the Syracuse M and T Jazzfest at Jamesville beach July 4th, 5th, and 6th.

Jazzfest director Frank Malfitano  takes pride in the variety of performers music fans can enjoy at almost any time of day…

“The reason we have national acts, local acts, and student acts preceding that is so people will stagger in. this is not a carrier dome 8 pm tip off leave your house at 7:30 kind of deal.”

Evening headliners such The Doobie Brothers and Taylor Dayne are expected to draw a broad crowd, while Jazz stars Giacomo Gates, The Yellow Jackets and Five to Life will be performing.

(FULL SCHEDULE  BELOW)

This is the first year that jazzfest will have full use of Jamesville Beach.  Onondaga County Parks Director, Bill Lampley has been put in charge of all the precautions…

“We anticipate a large crowd here; we’re actually putting on more ticket takers, money takers for parking. So you’ll see a lot more. And were going to gear up and gear down as the necessity takes there.

This year's Jazzfest will use the entire grounds of Jamesville Beach Park, including having the beach open during the day.
