Syracuse Speaks-Issues Of Race On College Campuses

At the end Syracuse University’s last semester, racist crimes took holdof the campus community. What does it take to make higher education institutions more inclusive?

The racist incidents that occurred on Syraucse’s Campus are not an isolated issue. Universities across the country have also had to confront how they handle diversity and identity in recent years. Schools like the University of Missouri, Yale and the University of Alabama also had protests and calls for resignations due to racial issues on campus.

In this episode: issues of race on college campuses, student protests, and what administrations can do to make all their students feel safe. On the panel is Syracuse University Political Science Professor Dr. Jenn M.
