The Onondaga County Republican Party conceded it won’t have a candidate for Syracuse Mayor in November. Chairman Tom Dadey called a press conference to end speculation whether or not a candidate would emerge. Dadey compared politics to baseball, and promises there will always be another season of politics.
Dadey remains optimistic for the next Mayoral Election in four years because he says a lot of young candidates have agreed to step-up. Meanwhile, this November, the points out the Republican Party will still be represented in city races including the Board of Education, City Court Judge, Common Councilor at Large, and two district council seats.
