Onondaga County officials today announced that the Onondaga County Civic Center will close to the public and most employees today as of 12:30 due to the loss of potable water and sanitary services after being impacted by a nearby water main break.

The closure also means the  county health department’s  Communicable Disease Program, located in  Room 80 (basement) in the Civic Center,  will be canceled today, Wednesday.  To reschedule an appointment for the STD Center, Tuberculosis (TB) Program, or any other Communicable Disease service, call  the office tomorrow (July 17, 2014) at 435-3236.

The Civic Center is expected to be open regular hours tomorrow.  Those employees who are scheduled to work this evening should contact their night supervisor for instructions.
