One of America’s leading environmentalists says it’s just not fair to push climate change impacts – or finding solutions – off onto the younger generations. Bill McKibben was keynote speaker today to launch Earth Week activities at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. McKibben calls it an honor to be speaking at ESF …and says young people are rallying to the cause.

Several dozen people took to the streets Monday to have their voices heard – and want you to raise yours – in opposition to Trump Administration cabinet picks who deny climate change.  Local groups joined a national call to block certain appointments.

About two dozen activists held vigil today in front of the federal building in Syracuse urging President Obama to reject the expansion of the Keystone pipeline.   The action follows the release late last week of the State Department’s final environmental impact review, on which the president is expected to base his decision.  Long-time activist Sandy Porter says the process harms the environment from the time huge earth movers dig out the tar sands, to where they process it.
