Syracuse football (3-4, 1-2) hosts Wake Forest (4-4, 2-3) this Saturday. The last time the Orange was in action SU “got (its) rumps kicked” in the words of head Coach Scott Shafer following the beat down in Atlanta.

The Orange looks to rebound from that horrible 56-0 loss against Georgia Tech with a win against Wake Forest at home. SU gave up nearly 400 yards on the ground alone against the Yellow Jackets, but the run defense is not the only worry against the Demon Deacons.

ATLANTA, GA - Syracuse (3-4, 1-2) was throttled 56-0 to Georgia Tech (4-3, 3-2) at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta on Saturday. The Orange offense struggled to get off the ground, amassing just 75 total rushing yards and 133 passing yards. SU head coach Scott Shafer was most frustrated with his team's inability to stay disciplined.

"Too many penalties today," coach Shafer said, in reference to his team's nine infractions for 91 yards. "We need to mature quickly as a team, but it starts with me."
