The two employees fired from the Central New York S-P-C-A amid a theft investigation found themselves arraigned on grand larceny charges Friday morning.  Details of the case made public today show the extent of the alleged embezzlement is both staggering and crippling.   Onondaga County’s District Attorney detailed almost $700-thousand in funds siphoned from the animal shelter.  Bill Fitzpatrick says former Director Paul Morgan is accused of writing more than 100 checks to himself.

  Most people know about the Central New York S-P-C-A and its efforts to take care of dogs and cats…but they also take in other animals that get neglected or mistreated.  One special example involved a Cazenovia horse farm.  There's also a fundraiser next month to bring more attention to large animal rescue.

Marion Secor owns Skanda Equine in Cazenovia.  She never intended to take in mistreated animals…but knows a thing or two about them.

A Central New York woman has been barred from selling dogs after the attorney general’s office found she violated numerous state laws.  AG Eric Schneiderman stopped by the CNYSPCA Friday.  

  He explained how Carissa Seaman of Cleveland came to their attention.

The Central New York S-P-C-A is hoping people’s holiday generosity will help them make their kennels a little more joyous for the animals.  Officials say newer facilities might be better for both the pets and the workers.
