Gil Scott-Heron

It's hard to think about Summer in Central New York without being reminded of the Syracuse Jazz Fest. This June the annual festival will celebrate it's 35th anniversary. In recognition of this milestone WAER presents Jazz Fest 35, a historical look at the Syracuse Jazz Fest.

This week on Jazz Fest 35, the festival finds a new home. Joe Lee and Frank Malfitano examine how the festival came to call Onondaga Community College, it's home.  Along with remembering the music of Al Jarreau and Gil Scott-Heron. That and more this week on Jazz Fest 35.
