There was plenty of cause for celebration on the field Saturday as the Orange looks for a bid in the NCAA Tournament after a dominating 17-5 win against Colgate.  SU finishes the regular season 8-6. Syracuse is sitting on the bubble of the tournament, making it difficult to determine whether this win is enough to grant them a spot.  But they made their case in dominating fashion.

It was Senior Day in the Dome, and the five seniors on the team - Ryan Simmons, Dom Madonna, Seth Delisle, Matt Land and Brendan Bomberry - hope the  game wasn’t the last of their collegiate careers.

It was the sixth time the Syracuse university Men's Lacrosse team would find itself in a one-goal game this season.  But unlike four of the previous five, SU didn't find a way to pull it out at the end.  Virginia downed the Orange 11-10 Friday Night in a game that could have implications on where - or if - the team plays in the NCAA championships.

For most college lacrosse teams, conference play tends to be a struggle. Then again, Syracuse (6-4, 3-0 ACC) is not your typical lacrosse squad.

Luckily for them, they face a familiar ACC team this weekend. The Orange play host to a struggling North Carolina (6-6, 0-2 ACC) team on Saturday.
