The Syracuse Orange (4-7, 2-5) likely has no chance of playing in a bowl game this year.

The team had a chance to keep their postseason hopes alive, but they were outmatched from the very start in a 56-10 loss at Louisville (7-4, 4-4).

The first two plays for the home team were a 29 yard run for quarterback Lamar Jackson, and a 46 yard touchdown run for running back Malik Williams. Those two big plays set the tone for the game.

Coming off an emotional last-second victory over #10 Duke, the Syracuse Orange (17-12, 9-7) travel to Louisville to take on the #7 Cardinals (22-6, 10-5).

College basketball expert Joe Lunardi has Syracuse as a #10 seed in the NCAA tournament, meaning they are in no danger of missing the tournament at the moment. A big road victory on Sunday however would remove all doubt for Orange Nation.

Syracuse football offensive coordinator Tim Lester said that last week's game at Florida State was the "fastest" game freshman quarterback Eric Dungey has played in.

The Seminoles, which have college football's 24th-best defense, were -- statistically speaking -- the best defense Dungey has played against this season, and it showed. Dungey completed just 11 of 24 passes for 120 yards and no touchdowns, but he did rush for 46 yards and two touchdowns.
