SU Lacrosse Advances to the Quarter Finals

SU Lacrosse got past Bryant, 12-7, in the NCAA Opening Round Sunday night inside the Carrier Dome. Dylan Donahue led the Orange with 3 goals, while Kevin Rice added 2 goals to go along with 2 assists. Tewaaraton finalist JoJo Marasco paced the midfield with a pair of goals as well.

Syracuse Prepares for Start of NCAA Tournament

The Syracuse men's lacrosse team takes on Northeast Conference champion Bryant in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday in the Carrier Dome. WAER's coverage starts at 7 PM with Countdown to Face-off. The game follows at 7:30. After winning the Big East Tournament Championship last weekend for the second straight season, the Orange was rewarded for with the top seed in this year's 16-team field.

Number 5 Syracuse (11-3) takes on number 6 Notre Dame (10-3) for the second time in 6 days.

SU Lacrosse Focused on Notre Dame

Though the SU men's lacrosse team dropped to #7 in the country after a loss to Hobart last Tuesday, it still finds itself in a top-10 matchup with Notre Dame this weekend. After top-ranked Denver fell this past week, the Fighting Irish are now the number one team in the nation.

Last year, Syracuse took on Notre Dame on the road in South Bend and fell 8-6. But now, the game is at a neutral site in the Kinoca Minolta Big City Classic at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ this weekend.

SU Lacrosse Beats Georgetown on the Road

Georgetown (5-8, 2-3 BIG EAST) scored a pair of late goals, but No. 3 Syracuse (10-3, 4-1 BIG EAST) stifled the charge and held on for a 9-8 win against the Hoyas Saturday, April 20 in front of 2,736 fans at Multi-Sport Field. The win closed the book on a grueling stretch of five games in two weeks for the Orange.
