The summer travel season is just around the corner and Syracuse TSA officials want airline travelers to be prepared.  Federal Security Director of Upstate New York Bart Johnson shares some tips for a faster screening process.


  The Director of Syracuse’s Hancock Airport told a congressional panel today her thoughts on helping the growing problem of wait times at Airport Security checkpoints.  Local Congress Member  John Katko is proposing a solution.

This December is expected to be one of the busiest travel seasons in history, so the Transportation Security Administration at Syracuse’s Hancock airport is gearing up to handle the holiday rush.

  Those traveling out of Hancock International Airport this holiday season should expect some changes in airport security. The airport has put in new devices where people undergo full body scans instead of just walking through a metal detector. It's called Advanced Imaging Technology...or AIT.  


Frequent fliers traveling through Syracuse’s Hancock Airport might find their time spent dealing with security drastically reduced.
