College Students Working on Real Problems, Issues in Syracuse Intern Program

  About 50 college students are spending part of their summer trying to make a difference on some real issues and problems facing Syracuse.  Mercy Works runs the Synergy program using the students' energy and ideas to help the city's most needy.  Students hold five events Friday based on needs that came up in the United Way's annual report

Members of the Military Honored at NYS Fair on Labor Day

The Grand Marshall of this year’s Labor Day Parade at the State Fair was led by a current military member.  Senior Master SGT. Toby Shelly’s 29 year career in the military has taken him on a rewarding journey.  He’s now a Superintendent with craftsmen for an Engineering Unit with the 174th Fighter Wing at Hancock Field.
