Special 4th of July Programming

Join WAER for a special day of programming to celebrate our nation's independence!

 Get your day started with a few laughs from the crew who put the "mock" in democracy.  The Capitol Steps satirical songs are sure to test your sense of humor starting at 12 noon and repeating at 9 PM.

At 1 PM join us for a patriotic presentation of jazz with the United States Air Force Airmen of Note, the premier jazz band of the United States Air Force.  The Airmen of Note continue to build on its deep, rich musical heritage by serving audiences all over the world.

From 2-4 PM it's highlights of the 2012 Detroit Jazz Festival .  Sonny Rollins, Wynton Marsalis and Pat Metheny headline a star-studded lineup of jazz performances.
